Hi there, I’m Jalina
I'm a science researcher turned science and math teacher who has decided to transition out of the classroom to help make education more accessible from the comfort of your home.
Bio
My first job ever was as a math tutor in Grade 8. I'd like to think I've come a long way, but my passion for tutoring has never left!

I became interested in teaching while in grad school and decided to make the transition from science research to classroom teacher. The timing of this switch did result in half of my teacher education taking place virtually, during the pandemic. Though this experience felt like a drawback, it helped me to be one of the first to understand the impact of virtual learning as both a student and as a teacher. These experiences have helped me to harness the positives that can arise from online learning and transform it into a tutoring business.

I am an OCT certified teacher who has previously taught math and science at the middle and high school level. Alongside teaching, I also work in instructional design where I develop math and science content for students across Canada.
